A Note From Cara

There are over a million words in the English language, and I have one standout favorite: Fearless. If you look up the word in a dictionary, you will not find a very alluring denotation–“without fear; bold or brave; intrepid.” The way I see it, being fearless means much more than that. To be fearless is to do things that give you butterflies and make your hands shake and your heart race. It means doing things you wouldn’t think you had the guts to do in a million years, but finding the courage to do it anyway. There are so many adventures waiting just around the corner, if we take a chance. Living within your comfort zone will never allow you to face challenges, learn, or grow.

Risk-taking is paired with the daunting fear of the unknown. We fear the uneasiness of new situations, the unfamiliarity of change. I strive to live in a constant state of change and self-improvement. It is hard to make huge changes, so I take little steps day by day.

I currently have six “little goals” for myself, and three “big goals”. Number one on my “little goals” list is to work on this blog. On my “big goals” list– become a full time travel/fashion blogger after college. I still have four full years until then, but for right now, I am getting a head start on turning my dreams into plans.

I hope you can be daring and adventurous, and take a chance at something new, because these experiences are the things that make us feel alive.

  1. I really like this post and I could also instantly connect with your other post “painful truth & beautiful lies”
I would say I have 3 favorite words and they are somehow connected to what you said : courage, curiosity and vulnerability. To me those words make the difference.

    All the best
